UK- based consumer organization, which have carried out a series of tests
on a range of mobile phones to see who comes out on top in charging time, internet usage and call time. The iPhone 5 came first in just one of the tests -
charging time.
Overall, with the use of GeekBench 2 software, the 9 month old device scored the lowest out of 7 phones tested, with the Samsung Galaxy S4 coming in top.
It also came top in call time and internet usage, leaving the iPhone wall owing towards the bottom.
The category that Apple did come top in, battery charge time, is not a small
one.
One thing that consumers look for is how quickly their devices take to fully
charge up as they don't want to be out of the loop for too long.
Currently the Samsung Galaxy S4 sports a 2600 mAh battery, whereas the
iPhone 5 is only 1440 mAh.
We think that, when the next iPhone is released, it could be with a much
stronger battery in it.
That said, the tests could be deemed a little unfair; the iPhone 5 is 9 months old now whereas most of the others are around 2 or 3 months old.
Perhaps the tests could be repeated with the new iPhone when it is released.
Lets wait what iPhone 5S do as the releasing date is coming closer.
